Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced an immediate assistance package for flood affected people after making an aerial survey.
As part of the package, cooked/dry food shall be provided to all the people who haven evacuated for the period they are housed in shelters.
Besides, 50 Kg. of rice and Rs.500/- will be provided to all families in the villages which have been severely affected/ inundated/ marooned due to the current flood.
The CM announced to provide one polythene sheet to each deserving household whose house has been damaged.
House Damage Assistance as per SDRF norms will also be provided.
Meanwhile, the Collectors have been asked to take steps for assessment of house damage within 15 days and disburse the assistance in next 7 days.
Assistance for clothing and utensils as per SDRF Norms will also be provided.
It has also been decided to cattle feed assistance to dairy farmers as per SDRF Norms.
User Fees for vaccination and treatment of animals has also been exempted in flood affected areas.
Free animal checkup camps in affected areas to be set up.
