New Delhi: In a major development in the fight against COVID-19, the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) today approved the Oxford coronavirus vaccine and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, India’s first vaccines against the pandemic.
The DCGI gave its nod for the emergency use of Oxford-AstraZeneca’s Covishield and Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for immunisation against Covid-19 in the country.
The DCGI made the announcement at a press conference today at the National Media Centre regarding the Covid-19 vaccine in India.
