Bhubaneswar: Odisha Culture Minister Ashok Panda today lashed out at Bhubaneswar Member of Parliament Aparajita Sarangi over her silence in the matter of the Draft By-laws for Ekamrakhetra.
Speaking to media persons, Ashok Panda has said that why the Member of Parliament is not raising the issue in the ongoing Parliament Session. While both the BJD and BJP MPs have met the Union Culture Minister separately on the issue, Aparajita was not among them.
He also said that the allegations by the Member of Parliament that the state government and its culture department have neglected the monuments, is totally baseless. The Authority to deal with the NMA according to the Article 20 C is the Regional Director of ASI Kolkata and not the Director Culture, Odisha. It nothing but cheap allegations by the Member of Parliament to defame the government.
