Bhubaneswar: Even as the cyclonic storm Bulbul wreaked havoc in few areas, the Odisha Government has able to restore electricity supply in the affected areas.
The road communication was normalized after clearing uprooted trees and broken branches in many places of Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara districts affected by cyclone. Normalcy, however, is yet to come back in Rajnagar and Rajkankia blocks.
Addressing media Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena said, in Balasore and Bhadrak, electricity supply will be restored by today night as work is going on a wa footing, Jena added.
Mostly Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore districts have been hit by the Cyclone Bulbul since last night.
Trees and electric poles have been damaged at several places in these districts. The maximum numbers of trees were uprooted in Kendrapara district, he added
