CM Inaugurates Plasma Bank at Capital Hospital, Unveils Web Portal for Donors

Bhubaneswar: Further strengthening Odisha’s war against Coronavirus, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a plasma bank at the Capital Hospital here today through video conferencing to facilitate Convalescent Plasma Therapy (CPT) for the treatment of serious COVID-19 patients in the State.

 

The Chief Minister also launched a web portal for plasma donors.
The first plasma bank was set up at the SCB Medical College, Cuttack, which was launched by the Chief Minister on July 16.

The CM has reiterated his government’s commitment to providing advanced medical care and treatment to the people of the State.

Naveen also appealed to all eligible Corona survivors to come forward to donate their Plasma which will go a long way in helping the treatment of serious COVID-19 patients.

The State Government is planning to set up two plasma banks at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur and Ispat General Hospital in Rourkela.

Plasma therapy has been showing encouraging results on Covid-19 patients in State.
