Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has constituted two enforcement teams for strict implementation of COVID-19 guidelines to check spread of the virus in the city.
“In order to ensure proper implementation of the government orders and to ensure adherence to COVID-19 norms, the two teams have been constituted to enforce wearing of mask and social distancing in the crowded places like markets, religious institutions, marriage function, shops and commercial establishments under the supervision and guidance of the officers”, informed CMC Commissioner Ananya Das.
She also urged all the citizens to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing norms.
“Our combined and sustained efforts are crucial to check the spread of COVID-19”, she said.
Earlier on Sunday, the State Government had issued instructions to all district Collectors and Municipal Commissioners to ensure strict implementation of COVID-19 safety guidelines in view of a fresh spike in number of COVID-19 cases in some states.
