COVID-19: Favipiravir Tablet To Be Available at 1120 Stores across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has allowed sale of Favipiravir tablets at 1200 chemist shops across the State.

Apart from supply of Favipiravir tablets through the government channels, it is proposed to make available the drug through chemist shops duly licenced under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, the Directorate of Drugs Control of Odisha said.

The Government had earlier issued an SOP on the use of Favipiravir tablet by Covid-19 patients and asked district officials to ensure availability of the drug that can be administered to patients having symptoms under the supervision of trained doctors.
