Bhubaneswar: In view of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Odisha Government has decided to provide 4 months advance pension to artists under the Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana.
Nearly 34,653 artists will be availing pension for the months March 2020 to June 2020.
The Odia Language Literature and Culture department has issued an allocation letter of Rs 16.73 crore in this regard, according to reports.
The district Collectors have been asked to transfer 4 months advance pension amounting to Rs 4800 to the respective bank accounts of the artists.
The monthly pension for the artists under the Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana is Rs 1200.
