Cuttack: Vigilance officials on Friday caught the Junior Engineer, (R&B) Section-1, SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for allegedly taking bribe from a person.
The engineer has been identified as Debendra Rout.
Rout was apprehended by the vigilance sleuths while he was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 from a contractor for facilitating payment of bills.
The bribe money was recovered from the possession of the accused.
In this connection a case has been registered and further investigation is continuing, the vigilance said.
