Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police Abhay has dismissed former IIC of Biramitrapur Ananda Chandra Majhi from service for his shameful conduct. Majhi was earlier suspended on charges of raping and impregnating a minor girl.
The 13 year old minor girl was also allegedly forced to undergo pregnancy termination.
In a tweet, the DGP wrote, “DGP has dismissed Inspector Ananda Chandra Majhi former IIC of Birmitrapur Police Station from service . His conduct was shameful .Our apologies to the young girl.”
