Focus On People and Welfare Measures of Government: Naveen At BJD’s JanaSamparka Padajatra

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today kick started the Party’s reach out program JanaSamparka Padajatra from Bhubaneswar.

Inaugurating the month long Padayatra, the Chief Minister has said that the Padajatra is an occasion for us to reach out to the people. He asked the Party members to focus on the problems faced by the people and take all the welfare schemes to the people.

Taking part in the inauguration program of Janasamparka Jatra at the Kargil Basti, the Chief Minister first paid tributes to Mahanta Gandhi on the occasion of his 150th Birthday.

The Chief Minister said, “The blessings of the people of Odisha and the hard work of our party workers have given Biju Janata Dal the opportunity to serve the state again. I am indebted to them for this.” Mentioning the Party’s Jiban Bindu Program, Naveen said “Few years back we started the Jiban Bindu Program which has become a successful blood donation movement in the country. More than three lakh units of Blood has been collected to save the lives of many people. More than 10 lakh people have associated themselves with the program to make it more stronger.

Gandhi was a symbol of Service and Struggle. Respecting Gandhiji’s sacrifices on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary, the Chief Minister declared that Biju Janta Dal would form a Social Service Wing that will focus on plantation & environment, blood donation and health assistance. Naveen said, “of all the programs of the Party, Social Service is nearest to my heart. I would ask the youth to come forward and make it a strong movement in the days to come.”
