Ganjam Collector’s Ground Zero Governance Lauded by Villagers

Berhampur: In a positive development that can never be ignored, a welcome change is being witnessed in the hinterlands of Ganjam district with the governance initiatives reaching the ground zero and the collector himself going from village to village to review the progress made. Rejuvenated by the inspiration of transformation, now the administration is reaching the grassroots to solve the basic problems faced by the villages.

The 5-T Mantra given by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has brought fresh vigour to the administration in the districts and they are now accepting people’s development as a challenge that cannot be left unmet. In another instance of governance at grassroots level, the Collector of Ganjam District was seen reviewing the progress of various developmental works with the people directly.

Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange was on Tuesday seen at the remote villages under the Hinjilicut Block of Ganjam district interacting with the officials regarding development of the Adarhsh Vidyalaya at Sashana Ambagaon. He interacted with the students regarding the facilities of the school and the ladies hostel. He not only went to the Vidyalaya to review the developments. He tried to instill confidence among the students to excel in their studies. Interacting with the students, he gave some valuable tips to the Intermediate science students on good use of the technology available. He demonstrated the students on the use of YouTube videos to clear their educational doubts on the scientific subjects and other areas. This will help them prepare better for the CBSE exams. The students were very elated to find the Collector turning a guide for them. The action has been welcomed by the villagers and teaching fraternity also.

Kulange also held discussions with the RD department on the completion of the ladies hostel and the other infrastructure of the area. The BDO and the school officials have been asked to report promptly to the administration any problem that needs action. He also visited the Hinjilicut Brundaban Vidyapith to take part in the Managing Committee meeting of the Kendriya Vidyalaya. Trekking to the hill top of Barahi, the collector also reviewed the various developmental activities being undertaken by the district administration. He also had an interaction with the construction workers at the registration camp held in the Suryanarapur Temple premises. What made the difference on the occasion was that the Collector made himself one among the common people. A photo of him sitting with the workers on the ground is making rounds in the internet and has got appreciation from various quarters.
