Ganjam: COVID-19 Vaccination for Senior Citizens Begins at 28 Centres

Berhampur: The third phase COVID-19 vaccination drive began in Ganjam district from today.

Senior citizens and people above 45 years with comorbidities are taking the vaccine in this phase.
As many as 28 centres (both government and private health facilities) have been identified to undertake the vaccination exercise in the district.

Meanwhile, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange appealed to all eligible beneficiaries to get vaccinated to keep the district free from COVID-19.

He said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the vaccination drive.

Earlier, the Odisha Government announced that beneficiaries can get Covaxin shots at both government and private hospitals in Bhubaneswar and Covishield in the rest of the State.

The vaccine will be available free of cost at government hospitals while private hospital cannot charge more than Rs 250 per dose.
