Ganjam Sees Drop in COVID-19 Cases

Berhampur: Ganjam district has witnessed a considerable drop in COVID-19 cases for the last few days.

According to the data shared by the Information and Public Relations Department, the district reported 245 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours on Wednesday compared to 332 cases on Tuesday.

The district had registered 491 cases on July 27 and 484 cases on July 26. As many 560 cases were recorded on July 25 and 732 cases on July 24.  The number of active cases in district remains at 3107.

Meanwhile,  with the addition of 1068 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, Odisha’s COVID-19 tally jumped to 29,175 on Wednesday, said the Information & Public Relations Department.
Of the 1068 cases, as many as 662 cases have been detected from quarantine centres and the rest 406 are the local contacts from 28 districts.

Details of local contacts will be shared by concerned district administration, said the I&PR Department.
