New Seven-storey DHH Complex to Be Set Up

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a slew of infrastructure development measures for Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) based on the feedbacks collected from the ground during the visit of Mo Sarkar team to the state-run hospital.

In order to improve infrastructure facilities at the hospital and provide quality healthcare services to the people, the Odisha Government has decided to set up a seven-storey (G+6) DHH complex, which will have 300 beds.

At present, the Bhadrak DHH has 191 beds. The number of beds will be increased to 300 to cater to the healthcare needs of people.

Besides, an attendant rest shed will be constructed at the cost of Rs 20 lakh at the DHH and more number of counters will be opened for outdoor patients registration.

The parking area will also be expanded in the premise of DHH for the patients and their attendants.

Naveen also announced Rs 15 lakh to Rogi Kalyan Samiti from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to carry out patient welfare programmes and innovations.

Notably, the Mo Sarkar team comprising Development Commissioner Suresh Mohapatra, 5T secretary VK Pandian and NHM Directed Shalini Pandit visited the Bhadrak DHH last month to assess the quality of healthcare services provided at the state-run hospital.

The team took stock took stock of the services there along with the implementation status of ‘Mo Sarkar’ initiative.
