Naveen Announces Cooked Food In Panchayats And Financial Assistance to Street Vendors

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has taken yet another important decision with regard to taking care of the most vulnerable people due to Covid-19 lockdown.

The Chief Minister has announced that about 100 to 200 needy people living in the panchayats will be provided with cooked food which they can also take home. The Self Help Groups will be engaged in the process of providing cooked food. About ten lakh poor and needy people will get benefitted with this decision.

In yet another development, the Chief Minister has declared that the government will provide financial assistance to street vendors of the state. Naveen said registered street vendors of 114 urban areas will be given Rs 3000 as financial assistance to tide over the lockdown crisis. This will help about 65 thousand registered street vendors of the state.
