Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik joined his party’s people connecting programme ‘Jana Sampark Padayatra’ here today.
Naveen, who launched the BJD’s annual Padyatra on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, attended the programme at Thosali plaza ground in Bhubaneswar Central constituency.
The BJD supremo urged the party workers and leaders to reach out to the people and inquire about their problems. He also insisted them to ensure the good work done by the government should reach the people at the grassroots level.
Notably, the he Padayatra was supposed to end October 11 on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan, but it has been extended till October 31 following the instruction by the party president.
