NDA Ally Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Badal Resigns Over Centre’s New Farm Bills

New Delhi: Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who is an ally of NDA on Thursday resigned from the Modi government opposing the farm bills which is likely to be passed in the two Houses of Parliament.

The only Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) representative in the Modi government Harsimrat Badal has submitted her resignation as Union Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The move came shortly after SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal’s announcement in the Lok Sabha that the minister will quit protesting the Centre’s anti-farmer move.
