New COVID-19 Strain: Ganjam Admin Restricts Public Congregation, Asks Govt Employees Not to Leave Headquarters
Berhampur: In view of detection of new variant of the pandemic SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the UK, the Ganjam administration is taking abundant precautionary measures to prevent possible spread of the virus.
In a letter to all Sub-Collectors in the district, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange has urged them to be more vigilant regarding symptoms generation in their respective areas and take decisions regarding reopening of religious places from first week of January based on their observation on symptoms generation.
Similarly, it is expected that huge crowd may gather at different picnic points and sea beach of the District keeping view of weekend holidays. Hence necessary preventive actions should be initiated to regulate the large congregation of public, the letter reads.
No Government employee should leave the headquarters and if employee who require to go out of Headquarter should take prior permission his controlling authority on due recommendation of head of office till further order, it added.
