Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government today announced extension of deadline for registration of farmers for procurement of kharif crops.
The deadline for registration of farmers is extended till September 17, informed Odisha Food Supplies Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain.
As per the previous announcement, the last day for the registration was today.
The State government has extended it for next seven days and has informed to the departments about the extension of date.
The departments have been directed to complete the process as early as possible, said the minister.
Farmers can go to PACS, SHG or Pani Panchayat to complete their registration.
More than 10 lakh farmers have registered till date.
However, the procurement process will begin from November 1.
