Odisha Govt to Start Anti-Pollution Drive in Civic Body Areas

 

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will roll out anti-pollution drive in all civic body areas soon.

A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of State Assembly House Committee on Environment chaired by Speaker Surya Narayan Patro on Tuesday.

The Speaker urged the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) and the departments concerned to carry out launch a massive campaign in all civic body areas in the state to make the people aware of the hazards of pollution.

Intensive awareness campaign will be undertaken in cities, such as Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Talcher, Balasore, Angul, Rourkela and Kalinganagar (Jajpur) where pollution reached alarming levels, sources said.
