Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will vaccinate all teachers and their family members against COVID-19 on priority by September 5.
The Health and Family Welfare Department has initiated the process to vaccinate all the government and private schools teachers.
The district Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and CDMs & PHOs have been directed to plan exclusive sessions at CVCs to vaccinate second doses due beneficiaries and also teachers and their family members to cover all beneficiaries before September 5.
The district education officers (DEOs) have also been urged to prepare a list of how many teachers have been vaccinated and not yet vaccinated.
A special drive is expected to start on August 27 after receiving an additional 11 lakh doses of vaccine – 9, 92,380 Covidshield and 1,24,000 Covaxin doses, according to Health and Family Welfare Director Bijay Panigrahi.
