Dhenkanal: After Jaga-Kalia, Odisha today saw birth of another conjoined twins in Dhenkanal district.
A woman named Renubala Behera, wife of Pradeep Behera of Khalpal village of Parjang, gave birth to the conjoined twin baby girls at Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on Monday.
The twin girls were conjoined at the chest to stomach and weigh around four kilograms.
The girls are said to be in good condition. However, they have been referred to Sishu Bhawan, Cuttack, for further treatment, media reports stated.
Notably, conjoined twins Jaga-Kalia from Kandhamal district, who were joined at head, were recently separated by a team of doctors at AIIMS following two surgeries in 2017.
In December 2017, a woman in Nayagarh district also gave birth to the twin baby girls.
