Puri Administration Declares Containment Zone Near Pipili

Puri: The Puri District administration has declared three areas near Danagahiri under Pipili Block as containment zone. The decision has been taken to minimize the spread of the deadly Coronavirus as the test result of one person from this area has come positive.

According to the administration, one positive case of COVID-19 is detected in village Danagahir under Pipili Block which is likely to contain any possible spread of COVID-19, and it is highly essential to declare the affected area as Containment Zone and to restrict public from entering into and going out of the Containment Zone.

Therefore, in larger public interest and with a view to contain the spread of COVID-19, the District Collector directed the officials to implement strict prohibition of movement of persons.

Areas coming within Danagahir Chhak, Jayapur Chhak and Jayapur Sasan Chhak are declared Containment zone and no public shall be allowed to move into the Containment Zone. No inhabitants from within the Containment Zone shall move out. All the shopping establishment of whatsoever nature should be closed immediately. The supply of essential and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams under the supervision of the Sub-Collector, Puri.

All the Govt. and private Institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone are hereby closed forthwith. The shutdown period is effective from 7.00 A.M of 04.04.2020 till midnight of 14.04.2020.
