Malkanagiri: The serological survey carried out by the Regional Medical Research Center Bhubaneswar and Malkanagiri administration in the 19 wards of Malkanagiri Municipality has revealed that about 50 percent of the population has developed antibodies for Covid-19.
Samples were taken from 1613 people of which 1,018 were taken randomly and 595 were from the high risk groups. The report from the survey conducted in 42 villages of the district is yet to be received. As the report shows antibodies were found in half of the people, the other half is also very susceptible to the virus and should maintain strict social distancing and other measures such as wearing masks.
