New Delhi: Sri Lanka today received 5 lakh doses of the Covishield vaccine under ‘Vaccine Maitri’ initiative of India.
Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa thanked the Indian Government for showing generosity towards the people of Sri Lanka.
“Thank you! PM Narendra Modi and people of India for the generosity shown towards people of Sri Lanka at this time in need,” Rajapaksa said.
India has also supplied vaccine doses to other countries under the Vaccine Maitri’ initiative.
