Cuttack: In order to decongest the heart of the city of Cuttack, the Badambadi area, the government is going to shift the Bus Stand from Badambadi to Khan Nagar. The new Bus Stand will be a state of the art facility on a land of about 30 acres with all modern amenities. It will come up near the Biswanath Library.
The library will also be shifted to a more spacious place and reconstructed with all modern facilities. The decision was taken after a review meeting of higher officials today with 5T Secretary V K Pandian.
5 T Secretary V K Pandian today went on an early morning visit to Cuttack and discussed various issues relating to the development of Cuttack. He, along with works secretary Dr Krishan Kumar, Central Region RDC Anil Samal, Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani, OSRTC CMD Arun Bothra, , Twin City Police Commissioner Sudhansu Sarangi, DCP Akhleswar Singh and other officials visited Badambadi Bus stand and discussed about its development plan. They also visited the Ring Road project site and reviewed its progress that is being developed into a six lane road with all modern facilities.
