Strong Action for Violation of COVID-19 Guidelines: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has once again appealed to the people of Odisha to sincerely follow the guidelines to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Reacting to the action taken by Police in the matter related to organization of a marriage party in Gopalpur and the subsequent arrest of five persons on charges of violation of COVID-19 guidelines, the Chief Minister tweeted “Odisha is in a crucial phase in the fight against COVID-19 and hence, it is very essential that we all obey guidelines and regulations issued by State Government to contain the spread of COVID-19. Violation of the same would lead to strong action”.

Meanwhile, Odisha DGP Abhay has informed that five persons including the Groom and his father have been arrested. The investigation continues.
