Zero Tolerance to Corruption: 9 Odisha Govt Officials Given Compulsory Retirement

Bhubaneswar: Continuing the policy of zero tolerance towards corruption, Odisha Government today gave compulsory retirement to nine officials on charges of corruption and gross inefficiency.

These pofficials are from departments like Health, Mines, Labour and Forest.

According to reports,  out of nine officials, seven have been given compulsory retirement on charges of corruption, while two other have been asked to retire on grounds of gross inefficiency.

Deputy Director of Mines, Madan Mohan Biswal has been given compulsory retirement as nine corruption cases have been pending against him.

Similarly, Mining Officer Ramesh Chandra Mahalik has also been given compulsory retirement as four corruption cases are filed against him.

Forest Ranger of Muribahal, Prashant Nayak has also been given compulsory retirement on disproportionate assets case. Besides, Narayan Pradhan, Assistant Engineer of Public Health Department in Sundargarh has also been given compulsory retirement on same ground.
