Berhampur: In yet another setback to Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi, a fresh case has been registered against him in the Baidyanathpur Police Station in connection with the Tata Motors job for money cheating issue. Along with Pradeep, the father-son duo of Abhay Kant Pathak and Akash Pathak have also been named in the new FIR for taking six lakh rupees for giving a job in Tata Motors.
According to the FIR, the complainant Kartik Pradhan, a Constable, made a bank loan of six lakh rupees and gave that money to Pradeep Panigrahy in order to secure a job for his son. His son had applied for a job in Tata Motors in 2020 through online and after being selected he got a letter for training purpose, but the job never materialized.
The Baidyanathpur Police is investigating the matter. It is worth mentioning here that all the three persons mentioned in the FIR are also facing cheating charges in another case in Golanthara Police Station in Ganjam.
