Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Health Department’s Directorate of Medical Education & Training (DMET) has warned people against falling prey to fake information about COVID-19 vaccination.
DMET Director CBK Mohanty has cautioned people to remain alert about fake apps created by fraudsters for obtaining personal information.
He also urged the people not to get worried about rumors and undergo the vaccination process by following the government prescribed procedures without any fear.
Mohanty appealed to the people not to download fake apps, which are apparently created by unscrupulous elements for tracking the Covid-19 vaccination.
The Health Ministry has also warned not to download and share personal information on such apps, he added.
The government has already announced that the vaccine will be provided free of cost to the people when it is available. Hence, people should register through the government-introduced app only, he said.
