Bhubaneswar: Collector Khordha Sanat Kumar Mohanty, who is also the President of the Lord Lingaraj Temple Trust Board, has written a letter to the National Monuments Authority requesting for withdrawal of the draft notification of Heritage Bye-Laws for the Lingaraj Temple, Bhubaneswar.
He has cited seven important points for this and requested that to protect the interest of the Lord, Sevaks and devotees at large, the NMA should immediately withdraw the draft notification.
The letter reads, “If National Monuments Authority is still of the view that any further regulatory framework of any nature is required to protect and further th cause of Lord Lingaraj at Bhubaneswar, then you are invited for a detailed consultation and discussion with the Members of Lord Lingaraj Temple Management before any such fresh attempt is made.”
