New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani today took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Advani was administered the first jab of the vaccine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here.
The veteran BJP leader became eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine under the second, expanded phase of the nationwide coronavirus vaccination drive.
Under the second phase, citizens above the age of 60 and those aged 45 or more and having specified co-morbidities are eligible to get vaccinated against COVID-19 disease.
