Bhubaneswar: In view of rising cases of COVID-19, the Odisha Government has decided to impose a 14-day lockdown in four districts – Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur and Rourkela Municipal Corporation from Friday 9 PM tomorrow till midnight of July 31.
This has been announced by Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy while briefing the media today.
He said that nearly 66 per cent of total cases are in Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur.
Around 90% of cases in Sundargarh have been reported from Rourkela municipal limits.
As part of the measures to prevent the spread of the virus, the lockdown has been imposed in these areas from tomorrow, he added.
