Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced financial help for the construction workers of the state who are badly hit by the lockdown due to Coronavirus. The lockdown has impacted the livelihood of lakhs of workers and this is going to be of great help for them.
He announced a help of Rs 1500 for the construction workers which will be home delivered to them by the administration. A letter regarding this has been issued by the Labour Department to the Labour Commissioner. All District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners of five Municipalities have been issued guidelines for this by the Labour Commissioner.
According to a letter issued by the Labour Commissioner N Thirumala Naik the financial help will be given to Building and other construction workers registered with the labour welfare board. A list of the beneficiary prepared by the NIC has been shared with the Collectors which will be used to distribute the help.
