Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported its highest ever number of Covid-19 cases in a single day today with 156 new positive cases. With this the total number of cases in the state has risen to 2104. The number of active cases in the state has also risen to 969. The number of recovered people has also risen and stood at 1126 till 31st May 2020. Seven people have died in Odisha due to Covid-19 till date.
Of the 156 new Corona virus cases, Kendrapara reported the highest number of positive cases at 50 followed by Cuttack with 20 new cases. Ganjam and Jagatsinghpur recorded 17 and 14 cases respectively. Jajpur, Kandhamal and Bhadrak reported 11, 9 and 7 cases respectively. 153 cases of the total 156 are from quarantine centers and three are local infections.
The number of samples tested in the state stood at 1,55,690 with 3559 tests done on 31st May.
