Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Sunday reported the highest ever daily count of Covid-19 positive cases at 2993 taking the total number of cases to 78530 in the state.
While Khordha reported the highest number of positive cases at 606, Ganjam saw 271 new infections. 1879 of the new positive cases reported were from quarantine and 1114 are from local contacts. With this the number of active cases in the state has risen to 25792 and the number of recovered cases stands at 52292.With the state adding 10 more deaths due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the total number of deaths has increased to 409.
In the last 24 hours, Odisha recorded highest number of Covid-19 tests in the state at 68,906. The cumulative number of tests carried out in Odisha has increased to 1302711.
